I have a client-centred approach and take my cues from client's expressed needs and goals. I am greatly influenced by Attachment Theory as it pertains to one's relationships to others and to themselves.
I work to support clients' capacity and confidence to change their state of mind and body, and to establish an appreciative, authentic, solid, self-advocating, compassionate relationship with themself.
My path to becoming a counsellor started as a child when I wondered what made kids treat each other so badly at school and why the teachers didn't notice or do much about it? This curiosity extended to include global conflicts and the driving question of "why" led me on a pursuit to source solutions.
I have studied many approaches and techniques to help process trauma, abuse, neglect, and ensuing anxiety and depression. These include Somatics, EMDR, Mindfulness, Focusing, Clinical Hypnosis, DBT, Expressive Arts and Nature Therapy.
I work with teens, adults of all ages, couples and singles.

My greatest resources are musical theatre and gardening, and if I had my way, life would be a musical where we break into song and dance randomly and all city land would be planted with community fruit trees.
